8 output isolated pedal power supply with high current 1000mA parallel output

The 529X is a compact, flexible effects pedal power supply that can power both low and high current devices up to 1000mA. Each of the 8 outputs can provide 500mA at 9V (4.5W) up to a system maximum 16.8W, for use with regular analog and digital pedals. Use the supplied parallel cable to power high current devices such as modelers and multi-effects up to 1000mA.

The 529X can be used anywhere in the world with the included international wall adapter, or used along with the Mission 529M to silently power your board from compatible USB-PD sources such as USB chargers and power banks. All of the 8 outputs are isolated to ensure quiet operation with even the noisiest of digital pedals. Nine LED’s indicate the status of input and output power, showing green for normal operation and turning off when disabled or to indicate a fault condition.

With eight low noise isolated outputs, high current output, battery, and USB capability in a compact 1”, 6oz enclosure, the 529X is the ideal power supply for lightweight pedal boards and fly rigs.

The Mission 529 is one of the lowest noise pedal board power supplies available. Check out the test results to see noise measurements of the 529 compared to some other isolated pedal board power supplies.

9VDC trace from another brand of switching pedal board power supply
9VDC trace of the Mission 529
9VDC trace of toroidal power supply

The traces above show a 9VDC power output from the Mission 529 compared to another brand of isolated power supply using an external AC/DC switching supply. For reference there is also a trace from a large, premium power supply with an internal toroidal transformer. Toroidal transformers are sometimes quoted in systems specs as being important for low noise.

As you can see from the traces, the 9VDC from the 529 and toroidal supply are virtually identical, whereas the other switching supply is somewhat noisier.

Audio trace from another brand of switching power supply
Audio trace of the Mission 529

The second set of traces above shows what can happen when switching noise passes into the audio path. In this test, two power supplies are powering a compressor pedal. A test signal representing the guitar is generated at the input and measured at the output.

You can see in the first trace of another brand of power supply that there is some noise superimposed on the audio signal. In the second trace, where the 529 is powering the effect pedal, this noise is removed.
